Rødenes is a former municipality in Østfold county, Norway, created as Rødenes formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. On January 1, 1902 a part of Rødenes was split out to form the new municipality of Rømskog. The split left Rødenes with a population of 1 378.

On January 1, 1964 Rødenes was merged with Øymark to form the new municipality Marker. Before the merger Rødenes had a population of 1 314.
