Rîbniţa (Russian: Рыбница - Rybnitsa) is the seat of the Administrative Region of Rîbniţa of Transnistria. Its geographical location is 47°46′N 29°0′E.

In 2005, Ribnita had a population of 53,648[1], out of which 45% were Ukrainians, 25% Moldovans/Romanians, 24% Russians, and 6% others. A major steel factory exists in the city, which traditionally has provided between 40% to 50% of the country's income.
