Rían
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, Rían was the daughter of Belegund of the House of Bëor.
Rían was born around 450 of the First Age. She was only a young child during the Dagor Bragollach in 455, when Belegund became a companion of Barahir. Then, she was led to safety with the other women and children with Emeldir. Rían's father died in 461.
Around 470, when Rían was 20, she wedded Huor of the House of Marach, whose brother Húrin was married to Rían's cousin Morwen.
In 471 Huor was slain in combat in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Soon after that, Rían gave birth to a son, Tuor.
Rían died around 473. She was only 23.
