A résumé service or résumé firm is an organization or company that provides résumé writing services for a fee to a client or customer. These fees vary from company to company and some are much more costly than others. Resume service companies are used by job seekers of all types to get help in creating, writing and composing an individuals résumé in preparation for a job search.
Resume services take a person's career information, work history and educational background and compose a document that is submitted to a hiring company for a specific job position or opening within the organization.
A resume or résumé; also known as a curriculum vitae or CV is a document containing an individual’s relevant job experience, educational background and skills for the purpose of obtaining an interview when seeking employment. Often the résumé is the first item a potential employer reviews in regards to the job seeker. Because of this, a large amount of importance is often placed upon having a professional résumé.

- Chronological Résumés-present information in a timeline approach.
- Functional Résumés-group work experience and skills by skill area or job function.
- Combination Résumés-highlight your skills and experiences.
- Curricula vitae (CVs) provide a detailed statement of your qualifications. They are only used in certain positions and industries in the US, although the CV is the default choice in the UK and Commonwealth. If you are applying for an official job opening in EU, than you should use Europass CV. This is standardise format of CV, which was approved by EU parliament. For any other type of job something far more expressive would be umpactful.
- Resumes should list accomplishments rather than simply listing job duties.
