[edit] History

Régional was formed in 2001 by the merger of Flandre Air, Proteus Airlines, and Regional Airlines. Regional is upgrading and consolidating its fleet, considering teaming up with a turboprop partner as it increasingly turns its focus to its jet operations. Its two remaining Saab 2000s will be phased out by the end of next month and its nine Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias will later follow, marking the exit of all of Regional’s turboprop aircraft. [1]

[edit] Fleet

The Régional fleet includes the following aircraft (at August 2006) [2] :

Régional average fleet age is 7.8 years in July 2006. Regional will receive the first of six Embraer 190LRs at the end of November 2006.
