Quneitra Governorate

Quneitra Governorate (Arabic: مُحافظة القنيطرة) is one of the fourteen governorates (provinces) of Syria. It is situated in southern Syria, bordering Lebanon. Its area depends of sources. It varies from 685 km² [1] to 1,710 km² [2]. Governorate has a population of 69,000 (2005 estimate) [3]. The capital is Quneitra.
