Quinte

The Quinte (Kwin-tee) Region of the Canadian province of Ontario is comprised of several communities situated along the Bay of Quinte, which is an offshoot of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes and one of the four Great Lakes shared by the United States and Canada. (Lake Michigan is the only Great Lake entirely surrounded by U.S. soil)

The Quinte Region is situated directly across Lake Ontario from Rochester, New York.

The Bay of Quinte is very close to the mouth of the St-Lawrence River that connects the Great Lakes trade routes to the St-Lawrence Gulf, gateway to the Atlantic Ocean.

Belleville, the largest city in the Quinte Region represents a mid-point between Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, second only to Kingston Ontario as a half-way point between these three great Canadian cities. Belleville is a growing economy with more and more businesses opening up all the time.

Belleville is home to an Ontario small collage known as

"Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology"
