Quicksand (1950 film)

Quicksand is a 1950 film starring Mickey Rooney. The black-and-white thriller tells the story of a young man who "borrows" $20 from a cash register to go on a date with a blonde. He finds himself involved in an escalating series of crimes, each caused by a misguided attempt to escape the consequences of his former crimes. Peter Lorre plays the owner of a seedy carnival who is also interested in the blonde (Cagney). The film was shot on location at Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, California, USA.
