[edit] "Clonal diversity"

I am puzzled by "clonal diversity of this species has been shown to be high." One would expect genetic diversity among clonally reproducing plants to be low; I'm not sure that "clonal diversity" means what the editor intended. I haven't read the reference, but I suspect this needs some wordsmithing.--Curtis Clark 15:01, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, this is what the authors mean, but this comment has simply been copied out of the abstract without apparent understanding of its significance. I will explain the comment in the article, if no one beats me to it. Good catch. KP Botany 17:50, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
