Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (NYSE: DGX) is a United States corporation which provides clinical laboratory services . They also do business in England and Mexico.
Quest Diagnostics is a member of the Fortune 500 and the S&P 500. Their corporate headquarters used to be located in Teterboro, New Jersey where their largest business unit is located. Currently, the corporate headquarters is located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Plans were announced in September 2006 that the corporate headquarters will be relocated to Madison, New Jersey in mid-2007.

- 1967: Founded as MetPath, Inc., in New York.
- 1982: MetPath was acquired by what was then known as Corning Glass Works, and subsequently renamed Corning Clinical Laboratories.
- 1996: Quest Diagnostics becomes an independent company as a spin-off from Corning.
- 1999: Quest Diagnostics acquires SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories; GlaxoSmithKline still holds a large portion of Quest Diagnostics stock.
- 2003: Quest Diagnostics completes acquisition of Unilab Corporation (NASDAQ: ULAB) in a transaction valued at approximately $800 million
- 2005: Quest Diagnostics announces they will acquire LabOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: LABS) for $934 million in cash.
