Quentin Butler

Quentin Butler is a fictional character in the Legends of Dune trilogy, a science fiction series that takes place about 10 000 years before Frank Herbert's original Dune.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Quentin was born a member of the Vigar family, but changed his name in 140 B.G. upon marrying the Butler heir, Wandra Butler (daughter of Xavier Harkonnen and Serena Butler's sister Octa). Together the pair had three sons, Faykan Corrino, Rikov Butler and Abulurd Harkonnen. During his time in the Army of the Jihad, he made his way up to the rank of primero (general).

In the year 88 B.G., Quentin was captured by the Titan General Agamemnon, and transformed into a cymek. In the end he managed to kill the Titan Juno, and was willing to sacrify his life to kill the Titan Dante and destroy the last remains of the cymeks.

Abulurd later resurrected House Harkonnen; Faykan established House Corrino and became the first Padishah Emperor of the Known Universe after the Battle of Corrin ended the Jihad.
