Queen Amanoa of Onderon was the Queen of Onderon from 4,070–4,000 BBY in the fictional Star Wars Expanded Universe. Technically, her husband Ommin ruled Onderon, but he had pursued his studies of the dark side of the Force so far that his body was a withered husk supported by machinery.

Though it took many years before Amanoa learned about her husband's obsession with the dark side, she soon delved deep into it. Her intent was noble, as she intended to use her considerable Force gifts to redeem Ommin, whom she loved. Instead of converting Ommin to the light side, however, Amanoa herself fell from grace, becoming one of Onderon's premier Dark side devotees. This came at a cost, however; she lost the capacity for happiness and love, left only with suspicion, paranoia, anger, and finally hatred.

Amanoa worshipped the Dark Lord of the Sith Freedon Nadd, as all rulers of Onderon between Nadd and herself did, including her husband, Nadd's direct descendant. Nadd was not omniniscient, however; he had split Ommin and Amanoa in order to safeguard himself and keep the two in competition with each other. When Ommin's strength failed and he began to be consumed by the dark side, Amanoa was content to rule Onderon and Iziz, and not seek further mastery of the dark side. Knowing that death entailed significant loss of power regardless of strength with the Force, Amanoa began expanding her de facto rule of Onderon, bringing her into conflict with the exiles and Beast Riders. The Riders had significant success under their magnetic leader, Oron Kira. War was on the brink of erupting when Amanoa sought Nadd's aid. Here again Nadd miscalculated: he prophesied to Amanoa that, should a war start, she would surely die. His intent was to frighten her back to studying the dark side with him, but she instead called in the Jedi Knights to mediate between her and the Beast Riders. The Jedi taskforce (led by Ulic Qel-Droma) investigated and sided with the Warriors, resolving to depose Amanoa and Ommin, placing her daughter Galia on the throne. The two groups launched a simultaneous assault on Iziz, with the Beast Riders assailing the outer walls, and the Jedi infiltrating the palace, in what would be called the Battle of Onderon, the final battle of the Beast Wars. They made their way into the deepest catacombs and discovered to their horror the sarcophagus of Freedon Nadd, puissant in its evil. Jedi Master Arca Jeth defeated the Dark Lord, and, as he fled his tool Amanoa, she fell dead.
