Quechee, Vermont

Quechee is one of five unincorporated villages in the town of Hartford, Windsor County, Vermont. It is the site of the Quechee Gorge on the Ottauquechee River and is also the home to the Quechee Lakes planned community.

Directions:
Quechee is located along US Route 4, locally named Woodstock Road, between Exit 1 on Interstate 89 to the east and the Taftsville Covered Bridge Road in Woodstock to the west. It stretches north to the White River and south to the border between the towns of Hartford and Hartland. By air: US Airways to Lebanon NH (LEB) about 15 minutes drive (but service only to/from LGA); 90 minutes from Manchester NH (MHT) or Burlington VT (BTV); about 2:15 from Boston MA (BOS) or Hartford CT (BDL).
From the South and East: I-89 Exit 1, turn Left and head West on Rt 4 toward Woodstock. Quechee Gorge: continue on Rt 4 approximately 4 miles. Quechee Village: continue on Rt 4 about 1 mile, turn right onto Quechee Main Street, continue about 2 miles. Quechee Club: Continue on Quechee Main Street about 1 mile past Village. Taftsville Bridge: Contine on Quechee Main Street about 6 miles. Bridge connects Quechee Main Street back onto Rt 4.
From the North: I-89 Exit 1, turn right and head West on Rt 4 toward Woodstock. Quechee Gorge: continue on Rt 4 approximately 4 miles. Quechee Village: continue on Rt 4 about 1 mile, turn right onto Quechee Main Street, continue about 2 miles. Quechee Club: Continue on Quechee Main Street about 1 mile past Village. Taftsville Bridge: Contine on Quechee Main Street about 6 miles. Bridge connects Quechee Main Street back onto Rt 4.
From the West: Rt 4 from Rutland / Killington through Woodstock. Quechee Gorge: continue on Rt 4 approximately 6 miles. Quechee Club: Turn left at Taftsville Covered Bridge Rd, go through bridge (take turns!), road becomes Quechee Main Street about 1 mile past Quechee Club.
South Alternative: I-91 Exit 9 follow 5/12 North to Hartland. At Hartland village center (aka 5 corners) continue straight ahead, leaving both 5 and 12, which split east-west respectively. You will be on Quechee-Hartland Road and after about 8 miles you will come to a flashing light at Rt 4. Quechee Gorge: turn right. Quechee Village: straight ahead.
