Autoroute 31 (A-31) is a short north-south Autoroute (or freeway) serving the city of Joliette, Quebec. It is only 14 km (9 miles), serving as a means to connect Joliette with Autoroute 40, and in turn to Montreal, and and other points on the Autoroute network.
A-31 is also called Autoroute Antonio-Barrette, after the late politician from Joliette who briefly served as Premier of Quebec in 1960.
The southern end of the road is located at Exit 122 of Autoroute 40, town of Lavaltrie. This junction includes Quebec route 131 to the southeast, proceeding to Lavaltrie.
Autoroute 31 ends in the north at Exit 15, joining these roads:
- Boulevard Dollard, into downtown Joliette and other local streets,
- Quebec route 158 west to St-Esprit and other towns,
- Quebec route 131, bypassing Joliette's urban area and proceeds north to St-Félix-de-Valois and other communities.
A-31 was completed in 1966.
