[edit] Copyright issues
G'day Quaidy, I've picked up a few problems in your edits where it seems as though text has been copied over from other websites, for example in the article on Roselands. Your contributions are appreciated but I think it's important to draw this issue to your attention because using copyrighted materials compromises Wikipedia. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Alexandra Canal, Australia, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! [edit] Qantas Flight Numbers article
The article Qantas Flight Numbers which you started has been proposed for deletion. You may wish to comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Qantas Flight Numbers, and certainly finish the transition to a table layout, instead of it presently listing the first few numbers in a different format to the rest, and displaying at the end. --Scott Davis Talk 05:33, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Eastern trams.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Eastern trams.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Pitt St Tram.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pitt St Tram.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:06, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sydney bus route 410
Before you add any more articles about individual bus routes, you may first want to take a look at this AfD discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/5 Avenue Rd. --Calton | Talk 05:58, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About your use of Image:Sydney city logo.gif
I see that you've placed the City of Sydney logo on several road article pages, e.g. [1]. Howevever, fair use is only made out if the logo is used "to illustrate the organization, item, or event in question" - I would take this to mean that we can use the logo on an article about the City of Sydney, but not simply roads that pass through the City of Sydney. What do you think? If you have no objections, I will remove the logo from the road articles. Cheers. enochlau (talk) 04:45, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Undeletion of Sydney Bus Route article
Hi Quaidy, you recently contributed to the deletion review about the Sydney bus routes. We're requesting an undeletion here and I'd appreciate your help in getting this decision overturned. I don't think there was a consensus on deletion. (JROBBO 06:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Sydney Bus routes
Hi Quaidy, I know you did a lot of work on the Sydney Bus articles - can you or SM247 save the route pages to your userfile and convert them into a templated format like the SE Queensland ones? This debate is being overridden by Americans who don't care about anything to do with Sydney. (JROBBO 05:21, 22 August 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Veolia NSW
Hi, I understand you created this article but it has factual errors in that there is no trading entity by this name. They are the local operations of Veolia Transport. Can you drop by on tak:Veolia NSW and share your opinions (if you have any one way or the other). I cannot see why their local operations need a seperate article (we don't do the same for Ford, McDonalds, or Woolworths). Garrie 23:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Various bus company articles.
Before producing an article with such localised names could you please investigate the range of services the organisation delivers. I find it hard to believe that all these organisations have such regionalised structures that you can meaningfully produce an article which presents only their Sydney operations.
I suggest, for a coach company, operations out of Sydney should comprise a section, or a number of sections, rather than an entire article.
If they have seperate arms offering commuter, coach, and charter services, then each service may warrant it's own section.

[edit] Great job saving Sydney bus routes
I think it's great you have saved Sydney Bus Routes on a sub page. I didn't want the article to be deleted, and glad a reference still exists. Thanks.

[edit] Thank you
... For helping to revert and explain to User:Joninbrisbane that the alphanumeric system is not yet in place on NSW roads.

[edit] Bus services in Sydney
Thanks for the compliment. In my efforts to be bold (and indulge my lifelong love of trains and buses) I've unintentionally trodden on some toes. As far as the page mergers are concerned, a lot of the minor bus companies would struggle to meet notability criteria. Indeed, I'd say that the bulk of the smaller, outer-Sydney operators could probably share a page, given the low likelihood of our sourcing verifiable information about it. Joestella 10:15, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Suggestion regarding Buses in Sydney: would the defunct bus operators list be more accessible if grouped by final company name. For example, Sydney Buses absorbed North & Western absorbed Harbour City Coaches, so these would go on a single bullet point. Does that make sense? Also, shouldn't Metro West (depot in Monash Park in the 1980s from memory) be in the list somewhere? Joestella 17:25, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Baxter's Bus Lines
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Baxter's Bus Lines, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Baxter's Bus Lines. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
