[edit] Providence skyline
What was the matter with the Providence skyline location of Quahog inference? Many people I've talked to ask where Quahog could be.Loodog 21:59, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- I don't understand what your concern is. I rewrote the inference of Quahog's location based on the Providence skyline. Based on the analysis, I determined that Quahog must be to the west of Providence. Do you disagree with what I wrote? —MementoVivere (talk • contribs) 01:57, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

- It's west of Providence based on where the skyline is seen, and it's south of Providence based on the left-right order of the buildings.Loodog 13:31, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

- The fact that the Providence skyline is seen on the left side of the shots of the Griffin house as opposed to the right side just means that Quahog is more west than north of Providence. The left-right and furthest-closest order of the buildings in the skyline as seen in the series: One Financial Plaza, 50 Kennedy Plaza, and the Bank of America Tower; rules out the possibility that Quahog is south of Providence. As seen from this satellite image (where north is upwards), the buildings are, from southwest to northeast: the Bank of America Tower, 50 Kennedy Plaza, and One Financial Plaza. From the south, the order of the buildings would be the opposite of that seen in the series (L-R: the Bank of America Tower, 50 Kennedy Plaza, and One Financial Plaza) This is the view of those buildings from the south. This is the view of those buildings from the west. Clearly the second one more closely approximates the Providence skyline as seen in Family Guy. In fact, to be more precise, Quahog is a bit north of west of Providence. —MementoVivere (talk • contribs) 21:25, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

- Agreed. Why does the article only say "west"?Loodog 04:26, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Drunken Clam Merge Discussion
I propose a new section for this article that will include the fictional locations that are a part of Quahog (but not part of any known locations in RI). This would include merging in articles like Drunken Clam, but could also include other locations, such as Peter's workplace and so on. ju66l3r 18:13, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- What, you mean like a List of places on Family Guy?--Loodog 01:30, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- Actually, wouldn't it be better presentation to have text describing each of those locations in appropriate locations (like the Quahog places in this article)? I'm not a huge fan of "List of..." articles. ju66l3r 17:51, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

- Not a huge fan? Just because they're unusable and no one reads them?--Loodog 01:04, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Quality
This page should be cleaned up (no offense, but it sounds like an elementary student wrote it.) LM
- Do you like how I write it now?--Loodog 06:39, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Town Name
Someone should mention that it's probably more related to the clam than the Rhode Island village. 155.212.30.130 21:51, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] No sources
Okay, we simply aren't going to find any sources for this article. Clearly, inferences for the location of Quahog were original research; however, the arguments for location are true and verifiable by map, and also of interest to readers.--Loodog 04:32, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- So present the facts and eliminate the inferences. WP:NOR wipes out about half the article. I like the skyline comparison, but the caption is plainly OR. - PhilipR 16:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

- What do we call "inference" and what do we call "fact"? --Loodog 00:43, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
