Quatsino, British Columbia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quatsino is a small fishing hamlet of 91 people off Quatsino Sound in Northern Vancouver Island, Canada. Its nearest neighbor is Port Hardy, about an hour south. The village is also known to have one of British Columbia's only still used one room schoolhouses, a 70 year old one. Originally settled by finnish farmers, the village was a thriving community up until the 1930's.
