Quarterly Journal of Economics

The Quarterly Journal of Economics, or QJE, is an economics journal published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and edited at Harvard University's Department of Economics. Its current editors are Robert J. Barro, Edward L. Glaeser and Lawrence F. Katz. The QJE is the oldest professional journal of economics in the English language, and covers all aspects of the field—from the journal's traditional emphasis on microtheory, to both empirical and theoretical macroeconomics. It has ISSN 0033-5533.

Some of the most influential and well-read papers in economics have been published in the QJE, including
