Quarter at Tropicana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Quarter at Tropicana is an enclosed shopping mall located at the Tropicana Casino Resort Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States.

The Quarter features a Gross leasable area (GLA) of 200,000 square feet[1] of retail and entertainment and dining experiences in a three-story shopping village with the glitz of Las Vegas, the excitement of Old Havana and the sophistication of Europe. The development also was meant to help bring the stylized shopping experiences found in Las Vegas megaresorts to Atlantic City

The mall was built along with a new 502-room hotel tower expansion at the Tropicana and a parking garage, which collapsed in 2003 while it was being constructed, killing four workers. With a total construction cost of $280 million, The Quarter officially opened on November 23, 2004. Among the 50 shops and restaurants included in the facility are P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Swarovski, Chico's, White House/Black Market, an IMAX theatre, The Palm Restaurant, the Cuba Libre nightclub, Ri-Ra Irish Pub,and the Comedy Stop Cafe and Cabaret.

The Quarter at Tropicana is part of the Atlantic City Revitalization project.
