Quail Island

Quail Island lies within Lyttelton Harbour in the South Island of New Zealand.
It is known to the Māori as Otamahua. The island has in the past been used as a leper colony and animal quarantine station. The island is currently being revegetated with the intention of reintroducing native fauna.
