Qu Yi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Qu Yi (麴義) was an officer serving under Yuan Shao during the later years of the Han Dynasty Period of China. Following the Battle of Jieqiao, Qu Yi took the high position of controlling the central army. During this battle Qu Yi managed to slay Gongsun Zan's officer Yan Gang, but ended up being pursued by the enemy and killed by the valiant Zhao Yun (who at the time was also under Zan). According to other historical records, it is said that Qu Yi was purged from court by Yuan Shao due to being exceedingly arrogant.
