In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the Qin Gong, also known as the Sword of Light, was one of Cao Cao's famous swords. It was said to have cut through iron as easily as mud.

The Qin Gong was the counterpart to Cao Cao's other sword, the Sword of Heaven. Cao Cao entrusted it Xiahou En,one his most trusted generals.At the Battle of Chang Ban, Zhao Yun killed him and took the Qin Gong for himself while he was out searching for Liu Shan. He entrusted it to his eldest son, Zhao Tong, after he died.
