[edit] Copyright of Image:Kudamon.jpg
Hi there, thanks for uploading Image:Kudamon.jpg. I noticed that there is some required information missing from the image description. The Wikimedia Foundation has to be very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law. We need you to specify two things on the image description page:
- who created the image
- the copyright status
If you created the image:
If you haven't already, please add a note in the description of the image saying that you created it.
Next you need to choose a copyright license so that people on Wikipedia know what they can and cannot do with your image. There are only a few tags that apply to images you created yourself. Once you have decided which one you wish to use, simply copy the tag exactly as shown into the image description. Please note that you MUST allow people to freely use and copy your image (you may apply some conditions to that), else it may not be used on Wikipedia.
If you didn't create the image:
If you haven't already, please provide a URL to the site it came from (or the name of the source if it didn't come from a website) and the name of the person or organisation that owns the copyright.
You next need to add a copyright tag so that other users know how the image may be used. Please browse the list of image copyright tags and determine which applies to the image. If, after browsing this page, you are unsure of the tag to add, please add a {{Don't know}} tag to the image description and someone will help you choose the correct tag.
Please note that if you do not choose a copyright tag for the image within seven days, it will be deleted. Please could you ensure that any other images you have uploaded also have the above information in the description - you can see a list of the images you've uploaded by clicking on My Contributions and selecting Image from the drop-down box. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on my talk page. Thanks! --David Johnson [T|C] 22:23, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- This also applies (at least) to: Image:Reppamon.jpg, Image:Kudamon1.jpg and Image:Qilinmon.jpg. David Johnson [T|C] 23:56, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- To add the details, click on an image link in the text above, click on edit this page at the top of the screen then enter the link the image came from in the description. Also add a copyright tag as per the instructions above - if you don't know what the copyright is, enter {{Don't know}} (including the braces) into the description and someone will help you. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. David Johnson [T|C] 10:48, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Web-screenshot tag
I've noticed you've uploaded some images tagged with {{web-screenshot}}. This tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages; it's meant to be used for images of Web pages (such as Image:Wikipedia.PNG, for example). I've retagged the images below as having no license information. Please edit the image description pages to include information about the licenses these images are under. —Bkell 05:10, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
- Image:Blacknefertimon.jpg – if you made this yourself from scratch, consider one of the tags for image creators.
- Image:Chaospegasusmon.jpg – same as above.
- Hello again. Here's another image you've uploaded and tagged as {{web-screenshot}}: Image:FirebirdMarvel.jpg. Again, this tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages. I've retagged this image as having no license information. You should find out what the copyright status of this image is and make sure that Wikipedia has permission to use it. Then edit the image description page to include information about the license this image is under. You may find an appropriate tag at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags or Wikipedia:Template messages, or if none of these fit you may write a description of the license yourself. You may want to refer to the image use policy. —Bkell 20:53, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Here's another: Image:Kudamon1.jpg —Bkell 07:40, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- And Image:Kyukimon.jpg —Bkell 07:42, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Digimonimage
I saw that you tried to use this template. However, it was never created, only added and linked to in the list of lisences. Also, the images in question were reverted to either Template:no license notified for all, as the fairusein template wasn't complete, or was the wrong license to use. Bjelleklang - talk 02:04, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- What about using Template:Restricted use? Or as an alternative, you could create the Digimonimage template as a copy of the pokemontemplate. (Just remember to change the name of the copyrightowner) Bjelleklang - talk 02:21, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Steel2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Steel2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Wonder Woman
Are you familiar with the Wikipedia:Three-revert rule? You've just violated it on Wonder Woman. Now that you've been made aware of this, try talking about it on the Wonder Woman talk page. CovenantD 00:58, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chihuahua pics
I was checking out the dogs section of Wikipedia, and SURPRISE, I find my Chihuahua's photos from my old blog with your name on them. Petey and Prue are MY dogs, and I don't want anyone thinking that they are yours. I know you said you were leaving (that's fine with me) but I want credit on my dogs' photos. Please fix this before you leave. Coronis 02:00, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
There, fixed. Happy now. Qilinmon 02:09, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chijimon Image
I see that you either found an edited picture of a baby Maku Tree from The Legend of Zelda, or edited one yourself. You then listed the copyright as Bandai's and said it was a digimon. Please list the right sources when you post images. And don't make up Digimon. -- Pokemega32 14:33, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:DigiEggDarkness.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:DigiEggDarkness.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Ned Scott 02:41, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use images
Please read Wikipedia:Fair use criteria for why it is better to have one screenshot of six Rangers than six screenshots for six rangers.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 22:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Enough splitting off of Mystic Force Power Rangers. There is no need for them to have separate articles. Look at the length of Nick Russell and compare it to that of Vida's section. If you are doing this just to keep the fair use images, then that violates some criterion.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 04:01, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding edits made during November 13, 2006 (UTC) to Daggeron
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Ryūlóng (竜龍) 04:02, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Please stop now. The characters do not all need articles especially if your only contribution to the content is an infobox. Stop now, before you can be blocked for disruption.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 04:11, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Just because some sixth rangers have their own article doesn't mean that all of them should. I've already started merging htem in - I did Ryan Mitchell and Mike Corbett, for instance. You can help. Hbdragon88 06:22, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ryulong says that Nick has some actual character development. I'm not entirely sure about that, but I also believe that all the Red Rangers should be merged in as well. Hbdragon88 22:09, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:MytsicMatchup.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:MytsicMatchup.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 16:02, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gekiranger
Could you please use discretion when uploading pictures from the trade show? Not all need to be used in the article, and several aren't all that encyclopedic (like the image of Sha Fu and a caracal).—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 03:08, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
