QChat
QChat is a Push-to-Talk technology developed by Qualcomm. QChat was given to Nextel in the hopes of winning a CDMA upgrade contract for Nextel's iDEN network. After Sprint Corporation acquired Nextel back in 2005, Sprint became the only company with the rights to deploy it. On October 16, 2006 Sprint announced they would deploy QChat over their EV-DO Revision_A network. Qualcomm claims the connection speeds for QChat's Push-to-Talk are under a second, which brings the speed in line with Motorola's iDEN.
