Pyroraptor Olympius ("fire thief from Olympus", a reference to Prometheus) was a small, bird like dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (76-74 million years ago). It is estimated to grow to be 2.5 metres (8 feet).

[edit] Discoveries
The first and only identified member was found in the south of France, in Provence, and is know only from a few bones. Pyroraptor may have grown up to 5 meters (15 to 17 ft).

It appears in an episode of Dinosaur Planet. The episode is based on a male named Pod, who is taken from his home into modern-day Hateg Island by a tsunami. While there, he meets mini versions of species he grew up with.
