Pylon 9108

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pylon 9108 is an anchor pylon of a powerline for traction current in Fulda, Germany, south of the main railway station. It carries the 110 kV traction current powerline running along the railway through the city of Fulda. Pylon 9108 is therefore remarkable, because it stands not on the ground as usual 110 kV pylons do, but on the roof of a goods shelter, which is much older than Pylon 9108, which was built in 1983. Pylon 9108 may be the only electrical pylon for a voltage of more than 100 kV, which stands on the roof of a building not used for electrical purpose.
