[edit] License tagging for Image:Jeeva actor.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jeeva actor.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:06, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Aran film.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Aran film.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 07:45, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Your added "movie screenshot" does not exist, so I just changed to "film-screenshot".--Jusjih 00:37, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Your recent edit to Vishal Krishna (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Vishal Krishna. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --Brad Beattie (talk) 14:04, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Two important things
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I have two important things to tell you:
- copyrighted text from web sites
- We appreciate your contributions to the Leap of Love article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
- Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
- If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
- moving pages
- When you want to rename an article, it is very important that you do not simply cut-and-paste the content into a new article. Each page has a history that records what each editor has contributed to each article. This information is lost when you move a page using cut and paste. In order to preserve a page's history, you need to use the page move function. If you want a single article to appear under two titles, you can use a redirect.
If you have any questions about either of these, please do not hesitate to ask me or to visit the WP:Help Desk. You may also find these pages helpful:
