Talk:Puttu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is it Pittu or Puttu??
[edit] ???
- According to my Tamil and Sinhala dictionaries, it should be "pittu" (indological transcription "piṭṭu").
- Why is it eaten only in Kerala and Sri Lanka when there is a link to "Tamil cuisine"? Is it only availabe in tropical (wet) regions? Or do only those Tamils who live in Sri Lanka eat it?
- And which "highlands" are meant? Those in Kerala or Sri Lanka or both?
- What are "Kerala plantains"?
- Isn't the phrasing "favourite breakfast" somewhat un-encyclopedic? ;-)
- There should be more info on Puttu itself and less describing the side dishes it goes with ... Krankman 01:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
