Although widely accepted as the début album by Pam Tillis Put Yourself in My Place is actually second to the obscure decade-earlier Above and Beyond the Doll of Cutey. That first album was not a country recording at all, so, in essence, this is her country début. The singles released from the album, with their Billboard ratings, were: "Don't Tell Me What to Do" at #5, "One of Those Things" at #6, "Put Yourself in My Place" at #11, "Maybe It Was Memphis" at #3, and "Blue Rose Is" at #21. The album itself rose as high as #10 on the country albums chart.
