Purple City is a Harlem based rap group well known on the mixtape circuit. The original members include Sheist Bub "The Emperor", Agallah "The Don Bishop" and Un Kasa. However, the roster has extended to include other artists such as A-Mafia, Ike Eyes, Den.10, and Smoke & Numbers. Purple City, also known as PCP or "Purple City Productions", is closely affiliated with DK as well as Bathgate and Ghetto Rock Starz, and also another Harlem based movement The Diplomats. In 2001 Sheist Bub was introduced to Diplomats Cam'ron and Jim Jones through fellow Diplomat Juelz Santana. Sheist Bub has said that Cam'ron and Jim Jones mentored him into the rap industry, and helped inspire him to create Purple City. They have over eight mixtapes and have sold an estimated 80,000 copies.

Purple city has produced two albums to date (Paris To Purple City and Road to Riches). They are planning on putting out two more in '06. The Purple Album, which was promoted by the purple tape mixtape. And also born to the purple, which has almost every consisisting of new comers Smoke & Numbers.
