Punggol Bus Interchange (Chinese: 榜鵝临时巴士转换站) is a temporary bus interchange in Punggol Place, and immediately adjacent to the Punggol MRT Station. It is built to allow for easy dismantling when the site is redeveloped as part of a major commercial development when Punggol New Town is more developed. Initially, the only service to serve Punggol New Town, service 83, terminated and looped at a temporary bus stop directly underneath Punggol LRT Station, before being amended to terminate at the temporary bus interchange when it was opened.
With the opening of the interchange, Punggol Road End Bus Terminal was closed, and the only bus route, SBS Transit's service 82, was rerouted with the opening of the North East MRT Line. Service 3 was extended from its original looping point at Pasir Ris Street 71 to provide direct links between Punggol and the New Towns of Pasir Ris and Tampines, while Service 62 and Service 136 were extended from Hougang South Bus Interchange and Upp Serangoon Rd respectively.
