PunchMe is a text-based Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG). The project started on the 21st August 2006 by Paul Janaway and David Sojevic as part of the Mr Whale Network. Since the development of the game started the member base has grown rapidly, after 2 months the game had reached 10,000+ members and is still going strong. The game has many active players and thousands log on every day.

PunchMe is an on-going game where players can be a character who can do various crimes, each player has stats which they can train up to help them progress within the game. Gaining stats is a vital part of the game since it helps players do crimes, attack other players, as well as defend from other players attacking themselves. Each player has the choice of joining a gang, creating a gang, or to not join a gang at all.
The stats available to train up include:
- Strength
- Defense
- Speed
There are a number of things available to do within the game, players can buy weapons and armour, this is vital for battling each other. They can move to different cities, buy a house, as well as buy many items which are available within the game. You can get a bank account which allows you to safely store all your money. This is vital to help stop you losing money from other players attacking you and also from mugging you.
The game is completely free to play, however there is the option of buying certain packages which help you advance quicker in the game. But buying these packages are not nessesary to the game.
