Pulmonoscorpius kirktonensis |
Pulmonoscorpius kirktonensis is an extinct (Carboniferous) species of scorpion. It was found at East Kirkton in Scotland. They grew up to one metre (three feet) and it is believed that, due to the fact their sting is larger than their claws, they killed by poison rather than crushing.
It featured in episode 5 of the ITV documentary series, Prehistoric Park
