Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles Domaine Leflaive

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles Domaine Leflaive is a vineyard in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. The village is considered by many to produce the world's greatest white wines. The small vineyard is planted on well drained limestone and chalky soil.

English Master of Wine Clive Coates has written that the vineyard should be ranked a Great Growth and called it "a ballerina of a wine, with enormous elegance, great depth and magnificent fruit."

Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles Domaine Leflaive competed in the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, the Great Chardonnay Showdown and the Grand European Jury Wine Tasting of 1997.
