The Pulaski Academy Bruins football program consists of the Junior High Varsity and Senior High football teams at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas. The junior high team is coached by Kirby Norwood, the former head coach for the senior high team. The senior high team is coached by Kevin Kelly, a highly-respected football coach praised for his unorthodox coaching methods and great success.

[edit] Junior High Varsity Team

The PA Junior High Varsity football team prepares young players for the Senior High football team by allowing team members the opportunity to play in competitive games against other schools to enhance their athletic abilities and gain experience. They also participate in daily practices after school, which include running, drills, playing excercises, and weight-lifting.

[edit] Senior High Team

The Senior High football team is a group of the elite football players in the PA football program. These players have successfully completed two to three years in the Junior High Varsity team, either at PA or elsewhere, and have a complete understanding on the amount of dedication needed to participate on the team. The Senior High team has won many state championships to prove their athletic abilities, and it has become a well-respected team over the years, showing their great sportsmanship and respect toward other schools and players. As a result of a recently-passed law, all private schools in Arkansas, including PA, have been moved up in conference. The movement between schools varies because of the enrollment numbers at each one. The law states that each private school student is equal to 1.75 public school students. This pushed PA from AAA (3A) to AAAAA (5A).
