Puget Gardens Park

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Puget Gardens Park is a small park along Puget Creek in the north end of Tacoma, Washington. It is primarily located within Old Woman's Gulch, a ravine surrounded by residential areas. Puget Gardens Park connects with Puget Park, located above ground. Although the area does not have any actual gardens, it is well-known for its beautiful natural setting and local art, as well as a path that extends to Point Defiance Park. The park is located just north of the Proctor District.

In 2000, the park became infamous as an area with a high risk of crime. However, considering its isolated setting in an otherwise urban area, this has always been a concern. Overall, though, the area is not dangerous, although it is advisable - as with any forested public park - to not walk alone after dusk.
