Puchheim

Puchheim is a little town near Munich in the district (Landkreis) Fürstenfeldbruck, in Bavaria, Germany. It has about 20,000 inhabitants, and is located at . The new part of Puchheim (Puchheim Bahnhof) was founded when the S-Bahn (a quick train commuting to Munich) was built. Before that there was a big prison camp. The area around the camp was dried up by workers from the prison camp, so that houses could be built. Now, therefore, there's both a Puchheim Bahnhof (new) und Puchheim Ort (old).
The old part of Puchheim is even older than Munich.
Puchheim also is known for its elite-school the "Gymnasium Puchheim" which is known as one of the best and hardest schools in Bavaria. Gymnasium Puchheim also runs an exchange program with Westminster School, a London-based Independent school. The students of the former institution travelling to London in February, and the students of the latter institution travelling to Fürstenfeldbruck in June/July.
