[edit] History
The PSA was formed in 1905 by the Christian Brothers College (now Aquinas College), the Church of England Grammar School (now Guildford Grammar School), The High School (now Hale School) and Scotch College as a group of independent boys schools (Public schools in the traditional English use of the term). During later years three more independent boy schools were added to the association to make up its current structure. Although other independent boy schools exist in Perth, the PSA limited admission to schools accepting boarders (note that Trinity College did accept boarders upon its admission to the PSA, but no longer does).
