[edit] Ifranjiah?!
Ifranjiah?! Whoever wrote that is wrong! It is an Arabic word but has nothing to do with backgammon. The game of backgammon has two names in Arabic. Some Arabs call it tawilat el-nard (طاولة النرد) and others call it tawilat el-zahr (طاولة الزهر), both mean "board of dice". You can also use lo'bat (لعبة), which means "the game of" instead of tawilat (طاولة). I changed it in the article. By the way, you can add the template wherever an Arabic transcript is needed, whether the article's name is Anglicized or not. If you need any help in Arabic or anything else, you know where to find me. ;) --Anas Salloum 17:28, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Don't mention it man. :) --Anas Salloum 19:02, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of "damaka" wikipedia page
I'd like to know why you deleted the page for "damaka". Why do you think its "obvious spam" when other products have similar pages on wikipedia? I'd appreciate a response.

[edit] Reconsider vote for Dr.S. Hussain Zaheer Memorial High School
I would like to ask you to reconsider your creation of the AfD for Dr.S. Hussain Zaheer Memorial High School. With a little bit of research, it is clear that the school is indeed notable, and the additional information has been added to the article with material from the school's web site and several references from The Hindu, India's main national newspaper. With its management and operation by the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, the school has a unique science program that allows students to learn from India's top scientists, and to have heard from several recent Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureates. The school competes in, and has won, at the top levels of sport in the state. I strongly suggest that all those who previously voted to Delete should re-read the article and reconsider their vote. - Sorry. Take 2: I meant to say that I would like to ask you to reconsider your vote in the AfD for Dr.S. Hussain Zaheer Memorial High School. Alansohn 16:57, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jerky (food) article dispute
Hello. If you get a chance, could you please stop by the Jerky article and help resolve a dispute regarding proper WP:External links. The relevant discussion is at Talk:Jerky (food)#Recipes, and I am seeking third party opinions since another user and I seem to be at an impasse. I am sending this to all editors who have recently edited the article or its talk page. Thanks so much for your time, Satori Son 17:24, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Longgammon in Backgammon
Hi. I noticed that you removed the section on Longgammon in the Backgammon article. May I ask what your reasoning was? Longgammon appears to have been part of the Tables (board game) article some time ago but is not any more. I thought it made sense to put something into Backgammon and update the Longgammon redirect to Backgammon instead of Tables.
I figure it's better to ask than to get into an edit war. :) It's fine for you to reply here rather than my talk page, I'll see your response.
