PT-109 (model)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The popularity of the story of John F. Kennedy's PT-109 made it a very popular subject for ship model companies in the 1960s, and it is still popular even as newly manufactured kits in the 2000s. Though less famous than the USS Constitution, it is a much less complex boat to model than a sailing ship, or even compared to destroyers or battleships.

[edit] Lindberg

Lindberg has made a 1/32 scale model since the 1960s, one of the least expensive motorized ship model kits. 1/32 is normally a scale used for fairly large single seat aircraft.
