Proviso East High School

Proviso East High School is a high school in Maywood, Illinois. Prior to being split into East and West, East was known as Proviso Township High School.
Graduates of Proviso East include actor Dennis Franz, author and futurist Stephen Euin Cobb, artist Tom Seghi, activist & community leader Fred Hampton, Billionaire philanthropist and co-founder of Black Entertainment Television Sheila Crump Johnson, educator and author of "Renault Dauphine" as well as 8 other books and 60 publications Dr. Milan J. Jischke, Grammy award-winning Singer/Songwriter John Prine, actor/playwright/director Mark Lamos, author and software developer Daryl McPherson, musical theater actress Carol Laraia (Carol Lawrence), humorist Andrew Puplis, philanthropist Frank G.
