Province of Fermo

Fermo Province was constituted by Italian law in 2004 and is the fifth province of the Marche Region. The province will be in effect in 2009. The administrative center will be the city of Fermo, (pop. 35,502 in the 2001 census). Other major cities (comuni), with their population, will be Porto Sant'Elpidio (22,752), Porto San Giorgio (15,869), Sant'Elpidio a Mare (15,332), and Montegranaro (12,860).
