Protector

The English word Protector, identical to its Latin root, means a person or thing which protects, and may refer to:
- a number of high (mainly historical) offices, including Heads of state, are styled Protector or include that word or its equivalent in other languages
- It is especially used as a short form of Lord Protector, two high positions in the history of the British political system:
