Promethean Ltd is an educational electronics company based in Blackburn, UK with other main offices in the USA, Europe and the Far East. With its well-known hardware and software, Promethean thrives in the electronic education world. • Activboard, is a robust, electromagentic (pen based) Interactive Whiteboard available in sizes up to 95" and also in 16:9 aspect ratios. The Activboard is the heart of the Promethean products. The Activboard comes with two complimentary battery free, easy-to-calibrate Activpens. Activboards uniquely contain radio tranceiver technology enabling the Activboard to communicate with other Activ devices with no additional setup required. The board has high connectivity and can connect to computers using Serial, USB or Bluetooth connections

• Activote, these are small, hand held student response devices. When using Activote, they beams wirelessly to the Activboard and interact with the Activstudio or Activprimary software, where you can see charts of how students voted, and even export the data to external applications. A unique ad-hoc mode allows voting with any computer application.

• Activslate, a rechargeable handheld, interactive surface that also beams wirelessly to the Activboard and Activstudio or Activprimary, allowing teachers or students to use a "Mini Activboard". The user can therefore present without standing in front of the Activboard.

• Activstudio is the Activboard software for older students or in professional settings where there are tools such as fraction maker, calculator, dice roller, tickertapes and word / shape recognition.

• Activprimary is a junior's version of Activstudio, where younger kids can actively participate.

• +2 is an integrated whole class teaching product comprising a height adjustable wall mount, super short throw projector (<1m) and an Activboard. Optional audio speakers complete a cost effective and easy to install system.

• Promethean Planet, a global user community of Promethean Activclassroom users. The online system holds thousands of lesson plans (flipcharts) correlated to curriculum standards as well as distributing lesson ideas, training and advice to users of interactive whiteboards
