From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Project Protect is a front group created by timber interests to help pass the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 (which has been criticized for its pro-industry bias).[1] From IRS records it was discovered that Project Protect was a $2.9 million media campaign which was created by Tim Wigley, the executive vice president of Pac/West communications, a PR/lobbying firm.[2] It is run out of the offices of the American Forest Resource Council.
