Prohor Pčinjski (Serbian Cyrillic: Прохор Пчињски) is a Serb Orthodox monastery in the deep south of Serbia, located in Pčinja District near the border with the Republic of Macedonia. According to tradition, it was founded in the 11th century by the Byzantine emperor Romanus IV in honour of St. Prohor, who prophesied that he would become the emperor. Within the monastery there is a theological school and iconography is taught there.
The first plenary Session of ASNOM (The Anti-Fascist Assembly of the National Liberation of Macedonia) was convened on August 2 1944 in Prohor Pčinjski.
