Progress Island U.S.A. was a short made by the Economic Development Administration of Puerto Rico as a short in 1973 to promote the burgeoning US Commonwealth in 1973. The short - which is a mere 12 minutes - explains that Puerto Rico is 'American in every respect' except for its '360 days of sunshine.' The short is best known from the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episode 367, The Beast of Yucca Flats.
