Progeny Componentized Linux, usually called Progeny Debian, is a free Linux distribution that is a continuation of the project by Progeny Linux Systems which released a commercial product known as Progeny Debian in May 2001.

Progeny Debian is an alternative to Debian 3.1, otherwise known as Sarge. Furthermore, it is based upon the Linux Standard Base (LSB) 3.0, adopting technology such as the Anaconda installer ported from Red Hat, APT, and Discover. Progeny Debian aims to be a model for developing a component-based Linux.

This product is derived from Free/Libre/Open-Source Software made available by developers worldwide.
