ProgPower

ProgPower Europe (formerly ProgPower) and ProgPower USA are music festivals held in Europe and the United States respectively. They mainly feature bands in the genres of progressive metal and power metal (hence the names of the festivals). Both festivals usually take place over two days/nights.
ProgPower began in Europe in 1999.
ProgPower USA began in 2001. The first festival was held in Lansing, IL, just outside of Chicago, at J.J. Kelley's. The subsequent events have been held in Atlanta, GA, at Earthlink Live. The festival has a wide reputation for high quality and a laid-back atmosphere. Band members frequently socialize with fans, and numerous artists have been known to attend even when not playing, including D.C. Cooper, Jon Oliva of Savatage fame, Lance King, members of Evergrey, and Urban breed (formerly of Tad Morose).
ProgPower UK began in 2006, and was held in Cheltenham.
