ProductWiki is an editable product catalog. They are a Canadian company based out of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and was launched at midnight on November 25th, 2005. ProductWiki is an open content wiki and is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL).
ProductWiki attempts to create a comprehensive product catalog through community contribution. Information is organized on the site using a blend of faceted classification and tagging. Users can write articles, participate in discussions, upload images, and add products to the catalog.
In June 2006, ProductWiki partnered with Shopping.com to deliver contextual ads for the products listed on the site. Using Shopping.com's price comparison engine, users are able to compare prices online and are provided with links to the merchants who sell the particular product.
